South Dakota

South Dakota currently has three Medicaid waivers/program that can serve children, including a TEFRA program and two additional home and community based 1915(c) waivers. The TEFRA program and Family Supports Waiver are based only on the child's income, waiving parental income for eligibility, but we are unsure how parent income is considered in the CHOICES waiver. See South Dakota's Medical Eligibility page for information about its various programs.

South Dakota also has two adult-only waivers, Home and Community-Based Options and Person Centered Excellence (HOPE) Waiver, and Assistive Daily Living Services.
